Akihabara Anime Guide
Akihabara is a town in Tokyo. They used to call Akihabara "Electric Town", because there are a lot of electrical appliance stores. However, this town changed to "Computer Town", and now it seems to chage to "Anime Town".
Shops Guide
This is a guide to some anime goods shops in Akihabara.
Gamers
A famous anime specialty store. Many TV commercial are aired, and its mascot, Di Gi Charat, has many fans(^^)
Animate
An anime store of long standing, and there are many shops in whole the country. They also sell anime goods by mail, and I confirmed they took on export. However, they don't have English page, so you have to understand Japanese perfectly (^_^;
Liberty
Liberty treats used LDs and DVDs. I think they generally sell at a low price, but you've got to be on your guard. Sometimes prices are different between Liberty shops (^_^; Liberty4 and Liberty5 are the biggest and the most convenient. ([Liberty1] / [Liberty2] / [Liberty3] / [Liberty4] / [Liberty5] / [Liberty6] / [Liberty7])
Yamagiwa
They treat not only anime goods, but software, hardware, and electrical products comprehensively. However, they have 4 anime related shops in Akihabara.
Ishimaru Denki
There are many shops in Akihabara. Soft One treats LD and CD, and they have a lot of stock always.
Chara
It's a quite small shop, but sometimes has rare items. [map] (Bauhaus BLD. 4F)
