From 18 on 21 of july happened in São Paulo, one of the largest conventions of Anime and Manga of Brazil: the Animecon 2002. For four days we had contests of Cosplay, exhibition of Anime and release of new manga titles. If you want to take a look in the picture gallery of the event access http:/ / www.penpas3.hpg.with.br On July 27 it was exhibited in Brazil the film of Hayao Miyazaki Spirited Away, that filled three rooms in the animation festival Anima Mundi 2002.

CORRECTOR YUI is Cartoon Network newest release in Brazil

Kia Asamiya, Silent Mobius's creator is the responsible for Corrector Yui.
Inaugurating on December 3 in Brazil Cartoon Network.
One day as any other one in the youth's life Yui, with a lot of lesson-of-house to do in the computer. Badly she knows her is about to change completely when she is absorbed by the screen and transported to the virtual reality. Arriving the that other dimension, she discovers that her mission is to unite the other ones eight “Correctors” to expire to evil Grosser, a super computer that intends to conquer the world, taking possession and controlling the universe of the computers. Yui and their new friends will combat the perverse ones “Corrupters”, followers of Grosser, that want to destroy all of the users. Corrector Yui and their new friends will face challenges, at the same time in! that they try to take a normal life in his own reality.
Besides Corrector Yui, other two drawings should inaugurate that month in Fox Kids. The first is Medabots and second Mon Colle Knight (monkorenaito)

Premiere SAILOR MOON SUPER S in Brazilian Cartoon Network
Starting from September 19 at 16:00 o'clock. A great evil approaches. The dangerous warriors Dark Moon seek for a gold crystal that will turn her queen immortal and with being able to absolute on the Earth and the secret world. To reach her objective, the tireless warriors invade the girls' dreams, transforming them in nightmares. This and other adventures of SAILOR MOON SUPER S, are going to the air in Monday Cartoon Network Friday, at 16:00 o'clock, starting from September 19. The cable channel Locomotion bought new movies and among them it is Jin-roh, Mamoru Oshii's great work, the same director of Ghost in the Shell.

The cable channel Fox Kids are showing the animes: Shinjo and Autopista, started July, and continue passing Super Pig, Digimon 2, Patlabor, Monster Rancher and others. The cable channel Cartton Network will showing Rurouni(Samurai X) on setember 3. For now is just this ok, see you lather.

Sailormoon S will finish on the cable Channel Cartoon Network on setember and Cartoon Network will pass Sailormoon Super S, in setember 19 to, and the final of Saga boo of Dragonball is showing right now on Cartoon Network to, and Card Captor Sakura finished and are the same ass the Japanese séries, incluind the final music (platina) is not translated. So, the local channel BAND is passing the Tenchi Muyo OVA (started july 16), and are some rumors with that channel will became a channel 24 hours passing only animes (because the animes ate passing in a special program called BAND KIDS, with have one hour only). Card Captor Sakura music Platina, is the most popular music of CCS and the most voted in many sites. Cartoon Network and local channel CNt continue passing Pokémon Johto, and the 3 movie of Pokémon is showing on the cines(started July 6). The Fianl Fantasy movie is passing to(started July 6).

The Cyber Team in Akihabara (Akihabara Denno Gumi) movie is showing just now in the Fox Kids cable channel (I'm recording it and will watch later, after I discover if it has or not spoilers to the TV series). From the few minutes I've seen, the names (Hibari, Suzumi, Franchesca etc) seem to be intact. They also kept all the logos of the production companies (Star Child, Production IG etc). Never thought I'd see that Star Child opening in Brazilian TV... Let's see if they'll begin to show the TV series later, as they've done with Patlabor.

The cable channel Locomotion is showing Saber Marionete J to X, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Those Who Hunt Elves, Blue Seed, The Adventures of the mini goddesses, SuperMilk, G-Force, Red Baron and frequently they show Agent Aika, Akira, Blue Submarine, Burn Up Warrior, Ghost in the shell, Gun Smith Cats, Oh my Goddess, Nadesico the prince of darkness, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Virgin Fleet or Birdy the mighty. In april they will show Ninja Ressurrection and Compiler.
Another cable channel, Fox Kids, is showing Patlabor, Monster Rancher, Dinozaurs, Digimon: 02, Flint: The time detective and Tonde Buurin.

I'd Like to complete your information about Sakuta, Pokemon and Sailor Moon. Theya are all showing at a cabo TV, the Cartoon Network Brazil. Another anime whos is in carton Is DZB. The new edpisodes, the Boo Fase are going on air on April.

Well, about the broadcast in Brazil, I think Anihabara made a confusion. The episodes in Brazil follow the same order of the japaneses. That means that here we had the (about) 7 first episodes before the appearence of Li Shoaran in the anime, cut in EUA. The first brazilian season of Sakura include the all first season japanese and a about 10 episodes of the second season of Japan. Here, the episodes is airing on TVs for the second time. And the episodes of the second japanese season restarted today...
Cartoon Network in Brazil, unfortanely, is making a mess about the episiodes of Pokémon Johto Journeys. I think it's because of the (I don't know the name "dublagem" in English, I think it is...) "dub" is late.
In Brazil, of Sailor Moon we just saw in the brazilian TVs the "Sailor Moon" saga and "Sailor Moon R". Now we are waiting for Sailor Moon S in Cartoon Network...I wonder if they'll do that...
Do you know here the episodes of animes is on TV from Monday to Friday?

Just wanted to tell you guys that the TV show Slayers, not OVA or Movies, are in beggining of dub process in a Brazilian channel called BAND. The channel pretend to show all the 3 Seasons, Slayers, Slayers Next and Slayers Try as I know of. Thats all I know =P

The new season of Sakura Card Captors is going to begin on February 21!! InBrazil is currently benn shown the Johto Journeys. The new episodes of Sailor Moon are coming gere too!

On november 1st Cartoon Network Brazil has begun to show Sailor Moon R and Card Captura Sakura. Both shows are dubbed in portuguese but are uncut as far I can say. CCS name was inverted. The name of the show here is "Sakura Card Captor". Sailor Moon R as happened in the first season uses brazilian adaptations of the characters names but CCS uses all the japanese original names (Sakura Tomoyo Yukito Kero etc). The opening and ending songs in CCS use the japanese music but lyrics are translated to portuguese. Others anime shows currently being shown in Brazilian TV include Pokemon Digimon, El-Hazard TV, Dragonball Z, Tonde Boorin (my favorite under the name "Super Pig"). A kind of obscure cable station has shown Neon Genesis Evangelion, Saber Marionette J, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Those Who Hunt Elves and a few others.
