Fox Kids has pulled Escaflowne off the air at about mid-series (And all the otakus are SO happy about it^_^).There is a problem that before stopping EscaflowneFox bought the TV rights to Slayersand now they'll probably try to sell them to another tvnetworksince anime doesn't do well.

It has been reported that Gundam W will be appearing on the Canadian station, YTV. The YTV station will show three episodes back-to-back on Monday, April 24, 200 from 5:30 to 7pm E/P.
After you have seen the first three episodes on YTV, you can take part in an interactive poll on our groovy website at www.ytv.com, where you can give us your opinion on this new show. From there, YTV will then decide, based on viewer response, if more episodes will find a regular place in our upcoming schedule. There will also be a special 'Gundam Wing' section on our website starting Monday, April 17. Check it out! Remember to vote folks!

Digimon is now airing on the FOX channel @ 10:30 am EST. Digimon is similar to pokemon, but in my opinion, a lot better. Also, the anime "Card Captor Sakura" has been picked up by a company called Nelvana. Nelvana has the broadcasting rights for Card Captor, however there is a dark side to this story. The main character, Sakura, will now be known as "Niki". (moment of silence) Well, so far there's about five anime series in the TO area and let's hope more will come. A new note on CNANIME con. It will actually be an anime/comic/sci-fi convention. So come on out all you otakus.

Here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, there is an anime society called NSAMO (Nova Scotia Anime & Manga Organization), it meets every month at the Public Archives of Halifax Nova Scotia (first floor, you'll have to ask what room. The Archives is the big brown building on the corner of Robie and University streets)
They show anime (on a big projector screen), as well as let people meet, talk, trade tapes and cards etc. This is the only Anime society in Nova Scotia that I know of. The meetings used to be the first Saturday of every month but now it's on any Saturday we can get...so if you live in/near Halifax, you'll just have to drop in to the Archives and ask when the next NSAMO meeting is. ^_^ You canalso join the NSAMO mailing list and find out the meeting dates, news etc. by giving your email to the president of the club, Mark Latus
