Well, I happen to know that RAI is broadcasting Bakuretsu Hunters, Excel Saga and Sakura Taisen, among other animes. They will also premier the Utena Movie next sunday at 21:40. They have broadcasted the 39 episode Utena series, and Cyberteam in Akihabara series and movie. Among a lot of other animes.

Anime news on TV:
From Tuesday 6th Nov at 21:30 MTV Italia start airing "Inu Yasha". The same channel air now "Neon genesis Evangelion" and "Trigun" too (at 21:00 and 22:00 respectively)
From Monday 5th Nov at 17:30 Rai Due Start airing "Guru Guru", and continue airing "Digimon 02" (at 17:00)
From 5th Nov. Italia 1 start airing "Pokemon" (Johto Leage episodes) at 17:00. The same channel from 2nd Nov at 24:00 start airing "Berserk".

Even italians will have an Akira Limited Edition DVD set.
Explosion video is ready to release the next september a 2-DVD set, like the one in USA.
First disc will contain the movie (in italian, english, french and japanese languages plus subtitles) and the second will feature a 45 minutes "making of" video of the movie and some others nice surprises.
The price isn't already fixed, but probably will be about 59.900 Lire (25$ US)

New anime broadcasts in Italy: from next thursday on Italia 1 "DBGT" will be aired, and after its end probably "Gundam Wing".
On the other hand, after the end of "Saint Seiya" series will be aired "Samurai Troopers", on Italia 1 too...
Still contradicive rumors about an late-evening airing of "Berserk"

Luciana Giussani has passed away. With her sister Angela (died in 1987), she gave life to the popular character Diabolik from 1962.
Diabolik still has great success in Italy and other countries, even Saban few years ago made an animated series about this thief.

Rai 2 every day air "Monster Rancher"
MTV Italia air now "Trigun", "Tenku no Escaflowne" and "Master Mosquiton" (the OAV Series) every tuesday at 21:00, from april it will air "Excel Saga" too.

Escaflowne will be airing on MTV Italia on Boxing Day (26th Dec) dubbed in Italian. The television station has recently aired a seven hour marathon os Anime shows such as Evangelion, Neoranga and Cowboy Bebop.
